I’ve recently learned of the terminal illness of my best friend’s mother. As far back as I can remember, him and his family has been a part of my life. Many of my earliest memories of childhood involve them. Over the years, she’s basically become a second mother to me. So for now, I’ll leave the names out of this to preserve their privacy.

Steve Irwin was killed today by a stingray while filiming some documentary. Irwin, known for his TV role as The Crocodile Hunter, always lived a life of danger. Unfortunately, this time something went horribly wrong. Irwin will be missed. Aww crikey, I hope this is fake or a mistake.

Update: CNN now has this as a headline. Looks like its true.

Wow, that had to be the worst concert I’ve ever been to. I had high hopes going into it and was severely let down. Granted, a friend of theirs died yesterday, but did they really need to play such a short set with so many acoustic songs? I hate Mr. Jones done all soft and acoustic; it’s fine to do that soft intro that they seem to do live, but this version was just bad. Also, they only played like… two songs with any level of energy in them. The show was starting to get a little better as they played there last song. Fucking lame.
